Michael Kleiner's letter to the WZIO voters for the Zionist Congress The Executive Director of AFSI Helen Freedman's letter Why I am honored to be sa Herut delegate?

Dear lovers of Israel,

Immediately following the 1996 elections, when Binyamin Netanyahu and the Likud Party came to power, hope arose among those who objected to the Oslo Accords. They believed that Netanyahu would indeed nullify the Accords. To our dismay, not only didn’t he cancel the Accords, but with the help of the Mafdal (Mizrachi) party, the Netanyahu Government proceeded to ratify the humiliating Hebron agreement. It was then, as the head of the Land of Israel Movement, that I warned Netanyahu from the chambers of the Knesset that this agreement would bring forth a reign of Arab terror on the Jewish Quarter of Hebron. Sadly, this has indeed happened. On Rosh Hashana, 2000, the Oslo Accords exploded in our faces when the Arabs used Sharon’s visit to the Temple Mount to begin a wave of terror. The Israelis responded by ejecting PM Ehud Barak and electing Ariel Sharon as Prime Minister with one of the largest margins of victory in Israeli history. Sharon was presented with the opportunity to cancel the Oslo, Hebron, and Wye Accords. Instead, to our great disappointment, Sharon speaks of a “Palestinian State,” which would in effect be his reward for terrorism. Apparently, according to the Likud Party, a “Palestinian State” has become the new Zionist objective, and Sharon appears to have become the Lord Balfour of such a state.

In sharp contrast, since the very first day that the Oslo War of Terror began, the HERUT party, which I recreated in 1999 as an act of protest against the disastrous appeasement policies of Labor and Likud, has been the only party that has consistently pledged itself to a single, common objective: We must cancel the Oslo Accords, retake the parts of the Land of Israel that were transferred to Arafat, and thoroughly clean out all terrorists and their stores of weapons.

The HERUT party totally rejects the establishment of a “Palestinian State” in Eretz Yisrael, recognizing that this would be the end of Israel. It stands alone against the other parties that either supported the “Peace Process” or used “compliance” as the requirement for measuring Arafat’s merit as a “peace” partner. All of this is nonsense since we know today, beyond a doubt, that Arafat never had any intention of making peace, and his actual goal is the destruction of the State of Israel.

HERUT supports without compromise the belief that we must settle all parts of the Land of Israel. We believe that we must work to convince more Jews to make Aliyah to Israel. We must ensure that the majority living in the Land of Israel are Jews, and we must work towards strengthening their Jewish identity. We believe that Jews should have free access to the Temple Mount and all Jewish holy sites. We are ready to grant the Arabs cultural autonomy under Jewish sovereignty.

I, as a Member of the Israeli Knesset, and leader of the HERUT party, believe that the Jewish community in America serves a seminal role in advancing these goals and strengthening the Jewish hold on the Land of Israel. This is your opportunity to demonstrate your belief in Jewish sovereignty throughout the Land of Israel. VOTE HERUT – SLATE 4 in the upcoming World Zionist Congress elections. We look forward to our partnership in the Land and its future.

Sincerely,

Michael Kleiner

OPEN LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

CAN ISRAEL SURVIVE A “PALESTINIAN” STATE? The answer is NO. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, and his coalition government made up of Shimon Peres, Yossie Beilin, Yossi Sarid, and other architects and proponents of the Oslo accords, continue to promise that IF ARAFAT will DO ONE THING to show that he’s not the murdering terrorist we know him to be, he will get his state.

That approach is preposterous. Since the signing of the Oslo accords in 1993, Arafat has proven himself to have one goal – the destruction of the Jewish people and the Jewish state. This has been incorporated into every aspect of Arab life, including the Arafat controlled school curriculums, press, TV. radio, summer camps, and mosque speeches. The daily reign of terror that has murdered hundreds and wounded thousands of Israelis continues without abatement while Arafat pretends to be speaking “peace.”

There is ONLY ONE Member of the Knesset, MICHAEL KLEINER, member of HERUT, who has NEVER WAVERED on the issue of the JEWISH STATE OF ISRAEL IMPLEMENTING SOVEREIGNTY in the WHOLE LAND OF ISRAEL. HERUT is the ONLY PARTY absolutely OPPOSED TO A PALESTINIAN STATE. HERUT advocates an abrogation of OSLO, and restoration of Israeli sovereignty in the PA controlled cities.

It is for the above reasons that I am honored to have been selected as a potential delegate on the HERUT slate in the World Zionist Congress elections. As an individual who is totally committed to the survival of the JEWISH STATE OF ISRAEL, I believe that MICHAEL KLEINER’S HERUT is the ONLY party that will support the ideals and principles which I believe to be essential for Israel’s well-being. We have seen the futility of all the other compromises and false promises. It is time to stand with the Member of Knesset and party that have proven by their deeds what their program is for Israel’s survival.

Delegates to the World Zionist Congress are appointed according to YOUR VOTES. If HERUT wins enough delegates, it can be hugely influential in determining how $400 million of American Jewish money is spent in Israel. We want the money to go to supporting the essentially vital issues supported by HERUT. Please help to send me and my fellow delegates to the Congress. VOTE FOR A STRONG ISRAEL. VOTE HERUT.
Thank you.

Sincerely,

Helen Freedman
