Egypt and Saudi Arabia have concluded a military exercise

CAIRO [MENL] -- Egypt and Saudi Arabia have concluded a military exercise. The two countries completed their second naval exercise, dubbed "Mirajan-10," on Nov. 16 off the Egyptian coast. The 10-day exercise was designed to enhance maritime patrol and other naval skills.

The Egyptian official Middle East News Agency reported that Mirajan contained a search-and-rescue component. MENA said the SAR phase included the use of fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft from both Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The exercise also included a firepower demonstration. MENA said Egyptian and Saudi vessels launched naval artillery against coastal targets. The ships also fired against mock air targets.
