Herut Party Chairman Michael Kleiner Responds To FM Livni's 'Concern' For Palestinians

Herut Party Chairman Michael Kleiner has criticized Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni's remarks yesterday (March 7) before the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
"With all due respect, it is not the role of Foreign Minister Livni to worry about the humanitarian plight of the Palestinians in the Territories," said Kleiner. "She should first worry about Israel's poverty-stricken."
Kleiner added: "If Ms. Livni is so concerned about the Palestinians, then perhaps she should adopt the Herut Party Platform, which calls for generous compensation packages for Palestinian Arabs who emigrate to Arab nations."
